Sharon has spent decades engaged in intensive practice and study with respected meditation teachers from India, Burma, Nepal, and Tibet.

“In 1970, I traveled overland to India. At eighteen, I had never gone further than a few hundred miles from New York City. I found myself at the banks of Bosporus Straight in Turkey—the divide between Europe and Asia. I looked out over the water with a tremendous sense of awe and adventure. I had no idea that Asia’s people and spiritual traditions would become the center of my future life. I only knew that I was seeking a greater happiness, and was willing to open to whatever might come.”
