Lovingkindness is a meditation that cultivates our natural capacity for anopen and loving heart. It is traditionally offered along with meditationsthat enrich compassion, joy in the happiness of others, and equanimity.These practices lead to the development of concentration, fearlessness, andgenuine happiness. Sharon Salzberg will introduce these teachings (lovingkindness week 1, compassion and sympathetic joy week 2, and equanimity week 3) and support us in our own experience and cultivation ofthese qualities through direct instruction and guided meditation. There will also be many opportunities for questions. This course issuitable for both new and experienced meditators.
