I’m happy, and proud, to say that I have meditated every day since the challenge started. Although my ability to quiet my mind has barely improved (and it was minimal to begin with), I am going with Sharon’s idea that the practice is to just begin again, every time. How many times do I begin again in a 20-30 minute sit? 50 would probably be a safe answer. But that’s what I’m doing everyday, knowing that at some point, my mind will get quieter. And knowing that even when it isn’t quiet, the practice is starting to permeate my daily life in really good ways. I am very grateful.
