I spent yesterday getting sick and today I woke up with a fever. Yesterday all I could manage was a one-minute meditation, in which I just needed to not think about how miserable I felt and how behind I was at work.
What I noticed is that even one minute of closing my eyes and breathing deeply was helpful. It didn't make me feel any better, but the deep breathing really does center me.

I love the idea of one minute meditations, Rita. It's a wonderful model. Just imagine how many 1 minute meditations we might have through the course of day! I think I will try a day of this... thanks for the inspiration.
