Day 27 - The Other "S" Word

This morning I couldn't quite pin down whether I felt sad or a sense of surrender.  I knew many things were afoot internally, so I gently slipped into a meditation practice that I did not quite expect.

I have Sharon's meditations on my iPod and decided this morning to listen to a guided compassion meditation, as I felt I needed to receive and give myself not only compassion but a meditative embrace.  I went along listening and being mindful of the instruction.  To my surprise, not only did time go by unnoticed, but by the time I was finished I had actually done three meditations: Compassion, Emotions and Letting Go Of Thoughts.  On my iPod they follow each other and I did not hear the breaks in between.  It was not a mistake but the prescription I needed.  I felt a great sense of Surrender and was able to show up for a job which no longer serves/fits my life, with compassion and mindfulness.
