Selena Sermeno is a clinical psychologist, native of El Salvador, who has dedicated her life to helping youth overcome traumatic circumstances, develop dialogue skills and transform legacies of violence. A great deal of her work has taken place in the context of post-conflict societies. A civil war survivor herself, Selena believes that through the presence of compassionate and loving adults children can grow into kind adults, capable of reaching out across polarizing differences. Selena splits her time between consultations to international and national programs serving children birth to six as well as adolescents. She resides in the Telluride Colorado region along with her husband and 16 year old daughter.
