Back to Work

I did the Sharon Salzberg meditation challenge a few years ago. It was nice – I was just starting to get into meditation. I had no idea how powerful it could be and I continue a meditation practice. It is definitely a practice because it is never perfect and ebbs and flows, much like my life.

It is back to work this morning and more often than not a morning where I don’t take any time to meditate because I have to get ready and “I just don’t have time” and my head swirls with the 100 things I have to do simultaneously as soon as I walk in the door at work.

The word I focused on was “unhurried”. It is the mantra I’m taking into 2020. I’m going at an unhurried but deliberate and determined pace. I’m working towards sustaining consistent effort. I’m working at encouraging positive thought. Even with my professional work, I can only do what I can do.
