As I sit and meditate, I generally happen more to the restless and antsy side. My energy takes my mind to all sorts of places and I struggle against losing the breath. Very rarely have I felt sleepiness settle in and have to energize the breathing or open my eyes to stave off sleep. I like the idea of recognizing when you’re too far forward and settling back some more – allowing one breath to bring you down. Sharon said, “this breath is your entire universe,” or something to that effect. I like this idea a lot: each breath is it’s own container that you can fit neatly into for the duration of that one breath.
