I did the Sharon Salzberg meditation challenge a few years ago. It was nice – I was just starting to get into meditation. I had no idea how powerful it could be and I continue a meditation practice. It is definitely a practice because it is never perfect and ebbs and flows, much like my life.
There are so many activities that I am like a mindless automaton just going through the motions. I like practicing mindfulness during these activities. However, if I’m not mindful ABOUT practicing mindfulness it doesn’t happen, which is often. I like when Sharon asks “How many times do we do something where we’re just disconnected, we’re not even really there?”
Anyways – very pleasant coffee drinking meditation this morning.
