Day 11 • Walking Meditation 2

The thing I love about today’s meditation is that it helps us experience a meditative mindset to while active and engaged in the world.

In today’s meditation, we practiced walking at a normal pace with “quiet eyes” and a “softened gaze”. The point of today’s meditation was only partially to learn how to meditate while walking. The deeper point was to learn to soften our gaze and look with quiet eyes while interacting with the world.

To take today’s meditation to the next level, we can look for opportunities to bring that same mindset to our everyday life activities, such as washing our hands, doing our work, and engaging in conversations.

As you go through your day today, look for opportunities to practice “quiet eyes” and a “softened gaze” while interacting with activities, events, and conversations. How does this practice help you as a leader?
