Day 12- Eating and enjoying the yummines meditation

I love the process of eating and tend to enjoy bringing mindfulness to it routinely by taking time to truly see, smell, taste, and taste my food. Its a part of being on a retreat that I enjoy, silent meals. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had my fair share of scarfing down chocolate only to look around and wonder where I put it. Typically this happens if I’m snacking at the computer or getting a quick snack in between patients. I sometimes catch myself realizing I ate something without really tasting it.
