Today Sharon guided us through the process of deconstructing our emotions to reveal their many different layers. She encouraged us to be curious and open in our investigation so that we get “closer to the experience and yet remain free.”
When we bring that freedom to our everyday experiences – whether they are positive, negative, or neutral – we have a choice to engage with those experiences in a fresh new way rather than react from old, conditioned patterns.
That awareness of choice is the foundation of healing, the crucible of creativity, and the path of leadership.
Sharon asked us to “reflect back for a moment on your habitual relationship to pleasant experience, to unpleasant experience, and to neutral experience.” How might observing your habitual relationship to different experiences prove useful to you?
