Sharon shared today that “success in meditation is measured not in terms of what is happening to us, but by how we relate to what is happening.”
Relating successfully is an inner phenomenon, and is therefore independent of outer circumstances. Rather than resisting unwanted aspects of your life, learn to leverage them. Allow that feeling of resistance to be a signal that returns your focus to your breath. Shifting how you engage with undesired elements will fuel transformation.
Authentic transformation starts, and ends, with awareness. Shifting focus away from “what” you do and onto “how” you do what you do is pure alchemy transforming perfect lead into pure gold.
As you go through your day today, consider how your meditation practice shapes how you relate to what is happening.
Then, I invite you to come back here and share a bit about what you learned.
