Day 5 • How Do You Speak to Yourself

Who are we beyond the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves? Only when we become still can we experience the answer to that question.

In becoming still, we stop all stories for a time, and let go of the scripted expectations we have of ourselves and others. We tap into the creative force that gives rise to this experience of life, and our thoughts and actions align more fully with what is happening within and around us.

During meditation, we practice shifting focus away from mental abstractions and snap judgments, and focus instead on this experience of aliveness. Weaving moments of meditation throughout our day empowers us to lead more effectively with our higher strengths, and learn more compassionately from our lower strengths.
