I have found the meditation on sensation to be intriguing as it can provide us with a wealth of information on where we are emotionally and how we relate to emotional and physical pain. It can be challenging to stick with awareness when we are struggling. A key can be letting oneself tune into minor sensations. These may be3 ones that are there but barely imperceptible. It can be easier to proceed stepwise from minor more neutral sensations to ones that are more intense or unpleasant. As you do this you will become more comfortable with the idea of sensations passing and trust that you will get through whatever arises.
