In today’s fractured world, even when we have the willingness to look at suffering, we often feel overwhelmed, may end up frozen in our tracks, and feel that we can’t do anything. In this daylong we will explore tools of meditation, not as a replacement for action, but as a way to practice generosity with ourselves and reconnect to a sense of life that’s bigger than immediate circumstances. We will look at the journey from empathy to compassion, anger to courage, and grief to resilience in trying to make a difference.
Whether you’re working on resolving conflicts with a neighbor, caregiving an aging parent, registering voters, or trying to combat global warming, the fundamental principles and practices of mindfulness and lovingkindness can lead to greater clarity and confidence, which helps us find more balance and joy as we take each next step into a better world.
Please note that this event is being held virtually due to the COVID pandemic restrictions.
