I was feeling mad today, but I am not mad.  I was feeling sad today, but I am not sad.  Right now I feel joy, but am not joy.

There is so much freedom in knowing that all these feelings are not mine.  What a difference a slight change in words has had on my day.  By using the “I feel” language in place of “I am” has been life enhancing.
