I really caught myself…the mental note “thinking” came with judgement the first time (“thinking ALWAYS thinking}), that sort of exasperated tone that lets me know I’m too hard on myself for my busy mind: the endless to do list, the pondering of what other people are using for their mental notation anchor, and composing a paper that is due next week. Thinking and then back to awareness of my breath. This practice helps me be more accepting of getting caught up in my thoughts and the beauty of beginning again.
