He is an alumnus of the famed Creative Collective NYC Creative Class and has gone on to win The BCA Bronx Recognizes Its Own Award in Poetry. In addition, he has authored the acclaimed books “Book About Things I Will Tell My Daughter” and “God Wears Durags, too.” Joél is currently a Creative Director at the New York Times’s T Brand Studio.
