I did the Sharon Salzberg meditation challenge a few years ago. It was nice – I was just starting to get into meditation. I had no idea how powerful it could be and I continue a meditation practice. It is definitely a practice because it is never perfect and ebbs and flows, much like my life.
Some things I’ve learned, which meditation has helped immensely with, are that I am not my thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I exist outside of those. While they do get the better of me at times, I can realize nowadays that a thought, feeling, or emotion is neither good nor bad. It just is. It is my actions that truly count.
