Still trying to catch up. Today’s lesson had us look into what all the components were in a difficult emotion. Where did you feel happiness/joy? Where did you feel anger? I felt happiness in my chest – and it spread across my chest, shoulders and down my arms. I could feel my body relaxing into the memory. When Sharon asked us to recall something angry my body tensed, starting in my stomach area. I had never noticed the bodily differences before, had you?
Then we moved into what makes up anger, and our mood. There are many different feelings that underlie anger and they are represented in our mood, our body posture, and outward expression (I felt my face tighten up). What did you experience?
