The final day – is it the end or a beginning? Sharon points out that this is a great opportunity to rededicate ourselves to our practice, but to be realistic about our practice and make a reasonable commitment. A regular practice can help us remember the lessons learned in this 28 day challenge. I am setting an intention to practice daily for at least 15 minutes per day.
Reflecting on the past month, I have found several concepts that strongly resonated with me (not in any particular order of importance):
(1) Lovingkindness is to start with ourselves then share with others – reaching out to all beings.
(2) To set my intentions and dedicate them to others.
(3) Everyone has something. Everyone is suffering. Everyone wants to be happy. Be compassionate.
(4) Remember the breath.
(5) You can begin again.
(6) When you recognize your mind has wandered – that’s the magic moment.
Thank you, Sharon Salzberg, for sharing your wisdom with us.
