I seem to remember doing this last year, too. Knowing the Challenge was about to begin, but not waiting for it, I reconnected to my on again off again meditation practice.
My life has completely changed since last year's Challenge. It was amazing to go back and read some of the blog posts. I had a lot more time and space in my life last year it seems.
Now, I'm about to begin my 2nd semester in an MFA program, and heading off to the intensive residency the week this year's Challenge begins. The moment I return, I start a new job. (I've been out of work for almost 2 years.) I am also involved in a volunteer project. And then, there's the seeds I really want to start for spring and summer planting, having saved them all from this past summer's bounty at my local CSA. There's more, of course. There is always more to do.
The timing couldn't be more perfect. At such a busy time, I welcome with open heart and mind, the opportunity to simply breathe and to be, one moment at a time. One day at a time.
