It’s a chilly morning in Central Florida. I’ve committed to get up each day at 6 am for the month of February, partly to allow myself some quiet time to meditate. Today’s Hearing Meditation brought to mind the importance of noticing without judging. It was comforting to hear @SharonSalzberg say “There’s nothing you need to do about the sounds. You don’t need to respond.” I got to just be with the sounds – notice then let go. When I found myself focused on one, trying to determine what it was, I gently let it go and began again. When I get hung up on “Am I doing this right?” I remember that I don’t have to do anything – I just have to be, breathe, and relax.
