I’m getting more comfortable with walking meditations. I was initially not real thrilled with the idea of a walking meditation today. At times, when I’ve done them before, I get distracted with my balance, what’s going on around me, etc. However, the addition of the phrases helped keep me grounded this time. When the practice was over, I kept going. I was enjoying the practice, recognizing but not getting distracted by what was happening around me ‘May you be well, May you be peaceful’, then returning to the phrases ‘May I be well, May I be peaceful’. I am looking forward to trying this meditation again tomorrow when I’m running errands.
