Todays #realhappinesschallenge meditation brought into focus where we can change our behaviors and practice lovingkindness to ourselves when we recognize our attention has drifted when meditating. The ‘magic moment’ is that moment when we realize we our attention has wandered and we react gently towards ourselves instead of negatively. This resonated with me today.
Today’s meditation reminded me of times at work when my plans get hijacked by other tasks and I get frustrated with myself for being pulled into other directions instead of working on the project I had set for that time. At times I speak to myself harshly about my inability to complete work due to these unanticipated distractions. I plan to work on being gentler with myself not only in my meditation practice but also at work.
