I don’t know how people get through life without meditation. I say this often because I know it has saved me, saved me from psychic pain that will inevitably spill out onto the world around me as well as chew on my peace. Being able to go to my friend, the breath, generally several times a day, most days allows me to dilute the impact of any number of upsetting experiences, petty slights to perceived threats to the quality of my life. So this or that happens I take a deep breath, smile to myself, drop my shoulders, relax my forehead, breathing, breathing and lovingkindness emerges. I’m feeling you my friend.
