When my mind wanders , sometimes it engages in memory and regret. My goal, when I wander down darker paths of regret or self loathing is to stop and say the work “love” over and over again. Sometimes tell myself “I love you” to that person in the past who needs love. I remind myself that there is only the present, and that love is the answer. “Love is patient, love is kind.” -1st Corinthians, 13:4 I have found this is a most effective way to stop destructive thinking.
