Bring your friends, your heart, your love of chanting and community, and join us on Saturday, June 6th at the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew in NYC for A Day in the Heart: A LSRF Benefit with Krishna Das, Sharon Salzberg & more. You’ll enjoy a full day of teaching, community, storytelling, film, and live music, all in support of the Love Serve Remember Foundation and its mission to preserve and continue the teachings of Neem Karoli Baba and Ram Dass.
Who’s Joining
Sharon Salzberg is a founding teacher of the Insight Meditation Society, a bestselling author, and one of the most trusted voices in Western Buddhism. She has spent over fifty years bringing lovingkindness and mindfulness to people everywhere, and she will guide meditation and speak from her own life on the path.
Krishna Das traveled to India in 1970, sat with Neem Karoli Baba alongside Ram Dass, and has devoted every decade since to sharing that love through kirtan. He joins Sharon for the afternoon workshop, takes part in the Q&A, and closes the night with a full kirtan (chanting) concert with his band.
Raghu Markus has been a steward of Ram Dass’s teachings for decades, serving as Executive Director of LSRF and host of the Ram Dass Here and Now podcast. He was part of the original satsang that traveled to India and sat with Maharaj-ji, and he will open the benefit.
David Silver is the director of Brilliant Disguise: The Samadhi of KC Tewari and joins the Q&A to speak about the film and that remarkable time.
