Self-Compassion Community with Dr. Kristin Neff

Sharon joins colleague and friend, Dr. Kristin Neff for a Self-Compassion Community guest conversation on October 4th. Kristin Neff, Ph.D. is a pioneer in the study of self-compassion, being the first one to operationally define and measure the construct more than twenty years ago. She has been recognized as one of the world’s most influential research psychologists. Kristin founded the Self-Compassion Community to foster a supportive space for people to come together and deepen the study and application of self-compassion tools in life. As part of that larger offering, Kristin hosts monthly guest conversation on her platform.

In these 60 minute online events, Kristin is joined by a colleague whose work touches on self-compassion. These free-flowing conversations will focus on guests’ views of the importance of self-compassion in the work they do. In addition to conversations with well-known luminaries, we’ll also focus on special topics such as self-compassion for teens, clinical applications, parenting, and so on. Time will be reserved at the end of each conversation for questions from participants.
